Tony Wood’s first skateboarding-related poetry book – Procrastiskate – was such a surprise hit that he’s put together a sequel. Coping Mechanism also references skateboarding, but also deals with other topics like misogyny, loss, family, and dogs.
We should probably note that, like Procrastiskate, this isn’t entirely child-friendly. We’re not going to be age-checking people who buy this, and it’s hardly riddled with expletives… but trust us when we say this isn’t the sort of thing you’d buy your skateboard-obsessed nephew for his eighth birthday, okay?
